Special Purpose Funds

These funds support programs for students that address very specific educational objectives. 

The George Conom Excellence In Education Fund

This fund recognizes and honors George Conom, who taught 46 years in the Sun Prairie Area School District.  The lead gift for this fund was made by Mr. Michael Lehman, a former student of Mr. Conom.  This fund focuses on programs that: 

• Improve financial literacy in students

• Offer guest speakers who address important educational topics at middle school and high school

• Provide professional research/development opportunities for middle school and high school teachers.

The Mielcarek Family Foundation Fund

This fund was established by Tim, Beth and Matt Mielcarek.  The Mielcarek family made this gift to support programs to assist economically disadvantaged children in the Sun Prairie Area School District.
