Northside Homework Club Kari Annen (far left) and Carolyn Miller (far right) accept a grant award for the Homework Club, which provides academic support after school for at-risk students. The money will be used to pay for transportation home via taxi vouchers for those students who could not participate otherwise for lack of a safe ride home. The program is designed for 4th and 5th grade students who have not completed homework, misunderstood assignment, or need other special assistance. Awarding the grant on behalf of the board (in the center, from left to right) are Chris Swenson, Oliver Berge, and Katie Krueger.
